Good to know

Tucked into 10 acres in the tiny community of Hoback Ranches in Bondurant, Wyoming, Aspen Grove is a quiet, well-equipped home that suits just about anyone who's drawn to the mountains, including: outdoor adventurers chasing the real West, families and friends after a shared escape, those looking for peace and rejuvenation, and remote workers settling in for a longer, quieter stay. You'll find sweeping views of the Wyoming Mountain Range off the back deck, wildlife moving through at dawn and dusk, some of the darkest skies in the Lower 48, and true mountain solitude, all minutes from world-class hiking, hunting, fishing, skiing, and snowmobiling in the Bridger-Teton National Forest and surrounding public lands. After a day out, there's a hot tub waiting for you to soak under the stars. Inside, the home is decorated by its owner, the founder of the home-goods brand Coral & Tusk, and layered throughout with the brand's embroidered textiles that give it a unique and warm feel. Sleeping (Sleeps 6) • Bedroom 1: King bed • Bedroom 2: Queen bed • Sleeping loft: Queen bed plus a reclining loveseat • Living room: Sleeper sofa available as an additional sleeping option • Air mattresses available upon request All bedding throughout the house is brand new. Kitchen & Dining A full, well-appointed kitchen outfitted with all-new appliances and cookware including everything you need to cook a real meal, and then some. Basic cooking staples are stocked as well, so you don't need to pack your entire pantry. The dining area features a Restoration Hardware table and upholstered chairs, and there's a bar between the kitchen and dining room with four barstools. Comfortable seating for the whole group throughout. Bath & Laundry One full bathroom with a walk-in shower, plus a full-size washer and dryer. Distilled water is on hand for anyone traveling with a CPAP machine. The Hot Tub After a day out in the mountains, the hot tub is the perfect place to land. It sits outside with sky views, no light pollution and no overhead power lines. On a clear night the Milky Way is easily visible, and on a full moon you can see the mountains by moonlight. Soaking under that many stars is the kind of thing most people have never experienced, and it's a wonderful way to close out a day of hiking, hunting, skiing, or riding. Work & Relax A separate, quiet office space with wifi for anyone who needs to stay connected. It doubles as a small yoga/workout studio, with two yoga mats and a set of adjustable dumbbells (5–25 lbs). The office has its own computer screen you can plug into for a more productive work session. Outdoor Living • Large deck with a grill, beverage refrigerator, loungers, and seating • 790 sf heated garage with a 12' high door. Great for vehicles, RVs, motor homes, travel trailers, fifth wheels, pop-up campers, toy haulers, and snow machines. • Covered carport and lean-to for additional vehicle or equipment storage, such as ATVs, UTVs, trailers, and more. • Multiple places to park trailers. Need more parking, we have more than enough available. Just let us know. Connectivity Starlink internet is on site, so you're never fully off the grid unless you want to be, plus a streaming device for entertainment. Each nightstand includes built-in charging and charging cables. Dogs Welcome Aspen Grove welcomes house-trained, well-behaved dogs of all sizes. Dogs must always be kept on a leash or under strict voice control, both for their safety and out of respect for the wildlife that moves through the property and for our neighbors. Animals are not allowed on the furniture or beds. Upon advance request, we may be able to provide dog beds and kennels. More than two dogs require approval in advance so please inquire before booking if you plan to bring more than two. The Look & Feel Aspen Grove is decorated by its owner, the founder of the home-goods and textile brand Coral & Tusk. The home is layered with pieces you won't find anywhere else: pillows drawn from the Coral & Tusk archive, one-of-a-kind original artwork, and custom upholstered headboards unique to each bedroom. It gives the whole house a warm, curated, storybook character with the feel of an artist's private mountain home rather than a standard rental. The Setting Aspen Grove sits on 10 private acres with mountain views in every direction, and guests are welcome to explore the entire property. We (the owners) live on the adjacent property, so if you find you need anything during your stay, we're right across the road. You're welcome to walk over to our land as well, where there's a favorite sunset spot that guests are free to use. This is genuinely remote mountain living. We strongly encourage guests to bring ample groceries and supplies with you. The nearest full grocery stores are at least 45-minutes away, and we've tried to think of everything you might need, but a quick run to the store isn't a quick run out here. The house is on a small, quiet dead-end road, and the people who live out here year-round value that quiet a great deal. It's the kind of place where neighbors wave from their vehicles and everyone looks out for one another. Please help us keep it that way by driving slowly, keeping noise down in the evenings, and staying within Aspen Grove's own 10 acres and on the roads rather than wandering onto neighboring non-public land. This is also wild country: deer, pronghorn, elk, moose, bear, and other wildlife move through regularly, and we ask guests to admire them from a distance rather than approaching, feeding, or otherwise harassing them. Please make sure pets don't chase wildlife either as it's considered wildlife harassment and is against the law. Recreation Aspen Grove is a true basecamp for the region. It's remote enough to feel wild, but within easy reach of an extraordinary range of Wyoming's best country. Rough drive times from the property: • Jackson Hole — about 45 minutes, for dining, shopping, and supplies. • Grand Teton National Park & Jackson Hole Mountain Resort — about an hour, for world-class hiking and skiing. • Southern entrance to Yellowstone — about 2 hours 20 minutes, for a full day in the park. • Pinedale & the Wind River Range — about 45 minutes, for another mountain town and some of the state's most dramatic peaks. • Wyoming & Gros Ventre ranges — within 30 minutes, for hiking, hunting, and backcountry access close to home. • Hoback River or Green River at Warren Bridge — 30 minutes to world-class fishing. • The Upper Green — 60 to 90 minutes, where iconic Squaretop Mountain rises behind the Upper Green River Lakes and recreation awaits on the Green River. Closer to home, you're minutes from trailheads into the Bridger-Teton National Forest and Gros Ventre Wilderness and direct access to some of the most extensive backcountry snowmobile terrain in the Lower 48.

Other Details to Note

Good to Know Before You Book • The sleeping loft ladder. The loft is accessed via a steep ladder. It's a wonderful, cozy spot, but it isn't recommended for very young children, guests with mobility limitations, or anyone who isn't fully comfortable climbing a steep ladder. Please use good judgment and supervise children closely if using this space. • No open fires. Given the dry, remote setting, fires are not permitted anywhere on the property. This is a county regulation. • Water conservation. The property is on a private well, which can run dry with heavy use. Please be mindful of water usage during your stay (shorter showers, running the washer/dishwasher with full loads, etc.). • Septic system. The house is on a septic system, so please help us protect it. Only flush toilet paper and human waste, nothing else. No wipes (even 'flushable' ones), paper towels, feminine hygiene products, cotton balls, dental floss, or diapers. Please don't pour grease, oils, coffee grounds, or harsh chemicals down any drain. Trash cans and composting are provided for everything that can't go in the toilet or a drain. • Food attractants. Do not leave any trash, food (human or animal), or other items that may attract bears or other wildlife outside. Keep everything in hard sided vehicles or in the house or garage. • Fireplace and wall heaters. The home is heated with a fireplace and wall heaters — please keep flammable items, clothing, and furniture away from them, and use caution around children and pets. • Groceries. This is a remote property. Please stock up before you arrive, as noted above.
